Temescal Wellness is a multi-state portfolio of cannabis companies. We operate dispensaries, we cultivate cannabis plants, we manufacture products, and we develop product brands. We expand access to consistently high-quality cannabis products for qualifying patients and adult-use customers.

Founded in 2015, Temescal is privately-held and, as of January 2018: runs two dispensaries and a cultivation-and-manufacturing facility in New Hampshire; runs one dispensary and a cultivation-and-manufacturing facility in Maryland; is building-out a cultivation-and-production facility and three dispensaries in Massachusetts; and holds active ownership positions in two, revenue-generating cannabis product companies. Temescal Wellness will continue to expand its product brands, and its cultivation, manufacturing and retail locations nationwide.

General Summary:

The Compliance Manager will have lead responsibility for the efficient and compliant on-boarding and renewal of employee and company paperwork. The Manager, Compliance is a trusted resource on state regulations, serving as a resident Subject Matter Expert. The Manager, Compliance will be obsessed with efficient processes and with serving internal “customers”, and will share our passion for wellness and our commitment to excellence.

The Compliance Manager will work closely with existing management and staff in New Hampshire and will be supported by Temescal executives. The Compliance Manager will oversee compliance at three Temescal Wellness locations in NH: Manchester, Dover and Lebanon. Depending on prior experience, the candidate will be eligible for a base salary in the range of $50-65K per year, cash bonus, and subsidized medical, dental and vision benefits. The Company will offer relocation reimbursement.

Additional Information:

Candidates should submit a resume and cover letter showing track record of achieving the results envisioned in this job description, preferably in another, high-growth, highly-regulated industry (e.g., health care, security / law enforcement, financial services, food and beverage manufacturing).

Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
  1. Comply with all applicable government regulations and Company policies and procedures, and ensure accountability for same among staff, including sanitation, security, workplace safety, confidentiality, and seed-to-sale software requirements, among others.
  2. Engender a positive, “start-up-ready” culture among all teammates of excellence, analytical rigor, polite persistence, and respectful candor.
  3. Serve fellow employees as an in-house expert on state regulations. Provide research and analysis, balancing the requirements of regulators, the operating needs of the business, and the preferences of patients.
  4. Assist with employee on-boarding, and with subsequent renewals, including:
    1. State-specific background checks, drug tests and fingerprints
    2. Company background checks
    3. Employee emergency contact info, I-9 and copies of IDs
    4. Employee acknowledgements (e.g., Handbook, company policies)
    5. Coordinate enrollment in employee benefits
  5. Coordinate various other items for new employees (e.g., building access controls, such as key fobs; business cards; email and digital calendar accounts).
  6. Keep employees and managers informed on progress of on-boarding new employees and renewals.
  7. Maintain secure paper and electronic copies of all relevant records.
  8. Maintain “Master File” of SOPs, make edits as instructed, and provide documents as needed for license renewals.
  9. Work with third-party vendors, as needed. Help select and implement software (e.g., Complia, Symplifya).
  10. Aid staff in preparing for audits and, as needed, assist state and local governmental auditors and law enforcement with their audits.
  11. Assist with developing and providing training, and with oversight and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  12. Lead by example in identifying process improvement opportunities, proposing solutions, building consensus and helping to implement agreed-upon changes. Present findings and recommendations, including expected outcomes and implementation plans, to management and staff in a concise and persuasive manner. Effectively and efficiently document, collaborate and persuade by using a wide range of audio and visual communication tools, including spreadsheets, word processing, email, calendars, text, chat, webinars, seed-to-sale and other software, etc.;
  13. Perform the following physical tasks:
    1. Stand and walk for extended periods of time
    2. Bend, squat and stoop, twist and bend the neck and waist and reach above and below shoulder height to grasp objects
    3. Bend and lift loads of up to fifty (50) lbs
    4. Use hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation
  14. The candidate will travel, including for meeting regulators, meeting employees, and to conduct training and audits at Company facilities.

General Summary:

The Extractions Production Specialist position is responsible for the primary day-to-day production duties of a state of the art medical cannabis production laboratory, reporting to the Extractions Team Lead. These duties include extraction, formulation, infusion, data tracking, cleaning, packaging, and labeling. The Production Specialist has responsibility and takes an active role in:

Learning and following proprietary cultivation and production methods


Complying with program regulations as it relates to cultivation operations including proficient use of seed to sale software


Tracking task time and utilizing time management skills


Uphold all standards and procedures pertaining to cultivation facility cleanliness

The successful candidate will have some experience with labwork or manufacturing and working with standard operating procedures. They will also be familiar with spreadsheet software, data tracking, time tracking, and are able to follow clear and concise direction. This position is recommended to someone with an associate’s degree or higher.

General Summary:

The Production Supervisor: Operations is responsible for managing other employees in meeting production schedules and in complying with all applicable local and state laws and regulations.

Requirements shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
  1. Comply with all applicable government regulations and Company policies and procedures, including sanitation, security, workplace safety, confidentiality, and seed-to-sale software requirements, among others.
  2. Lead, schedule, and supervise the work of a multiple production employees. Tasks may include, but are not limited to: media preparation; cloning; transplanting; feeding nutrients; irrigation; pruning; trimming; pest monitoring; pesticide application; facilities and equipment installation, monitoring, maintenance and trouble-shooting; harvesting;
    trimming; packaging; laboratory work; extractions and processing.
  3. Responsible for inventory management and raw materials.
  4. Ensure all work in completed in adherence to all safety policies and guidelines.
  5. Conducts weekly safety training and safety inspections on jobsites.
  6. Provide upfront and ongoing training and mentorship to production employees.
  7. Monitor and support employee safety, morale and productivity. As needed, track relevant operating data (e.g. employee task completion times, plant characteristics) in order to support decision-making.
  8. Assist with the employee life cycle, including recruiting, interviewing, training, time cards, and performance management.
  9. Aid staff in preparing for audits and, as needed, assist state and local governmental auditors and law enforcement with their audits.
  10. Contribute to Company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
  11. Effectively and efficiently document, collaborate and persuade by using software and telecommunications tools, including spreadsheets, word processing, email, calendars, text, chat, webinars, seed-to-sale and other software, etc.
  12. Perform the following physical tasks:
    a. Stand and walk for extended periods of time;

General Summary:

The Patient Service Associate position provides New Hampshire qualifying patients with outstanding service and assistance in helping them obtain their cannabis medicine at our ATCs in Dover and Lebanon. The Patient Service Associate has responsibility and takes an active role in:

Serving qualifying patients and caregivers in obtaining their medicine


Ongoing training in customer service delivery


Assists in dispensary openings and closings and protecting dispensary assets by following Temescal Wellness operational policies and procedures


Complying with program regulations as it relates to retail operations/dispensing, including use of seed-to-sale software


Maintain well-stocked and beautifully merchandised dispensary


Uphold all standards pertaining to dispensary cleanliness and Serv-Safe guidelines for infused products handling


Initiate seamless customer service by making every effort to find a product for patients if items are not in stock


Maintain store security including building security and cash handling
